Our Mission
I’ve always been passionate about cooking and creating an impact, no matter how big or small.
As part of my community outreach and entrepreneurial initiative, I led cooking demo lessons at a preschool in Kampung Pemulung, an underprivileged community in Jakarta. The sessions were attended by a group of inspiring mothers of preschool children. They were so eager to learn new skills that could potentially support their families.
The goal of the demo went beyond just sharing a recipe. We designed it to be practical, low-cost, and replicable to empower the moms with the idea that cooking can be more than a domestic chore - it can be a gateway to financial independence. During the sessions, I was accompanied by a cook to demonstrate how to prepare a simple, delicious dish that could easily be sold as street food or home catering. I also shared tips on presentation and how to attract local customers.
What began as a cooking lesson turned into a meaningful conversation about self-worth, opportunity and resilience. Seeing the enthusiasm and determination in the room reaffirmed my belief in using entrepreneurship as a tool for social impact.
This initiative reflects my passion for blending community service with business thinking, and my hope is that it sparked not just a few new recipes, but also a few new dreams.
